The new Sennheiser MobileConnect !

Eclipse Lighting & Sound Marine Limited are proud to supply and install the latest audio streaming device from Sennheiser which is the perfect audio solution in hard of hearing environments whether its for a theatre installation onboard a cruise ship or part of a church audio system.
The new Sennheiser MobileConnect Streams Live Audio to any Smartphone.

The universal audio system uses a wi-fi connection to stream lip-sync audio content to the user’s smartphone, which has an app that instantly converts it into a mobile receiver. Applications are unlimited: whether it is in a theatre, a museum, a sports stadium or a company – MobileConnect can be quickly and easily installed and is also cost-efficient in use.

MobileConnect consists of a streaming server and a specific wireless LAN router. The system provides a closed network that users can connect to from their smartphone. The selected audio data are transferred to the device via the MobileConnect multi- channel app, thus enabling users to play the content conveniently through headphones. And the user-friendliness of the system is not limited only to the front end: MobileConnect can be installed in a few easy steps and is ready for use immediately; it will very easily fit into most AV racks.

Minimum Effort and Cost

The new devise solution will enable customers to simply use their own smartphones to receive audio contents in the future and as customers obviously know how to use their own device best of all and merely have to download the free MobileConnect app to their smartphone. At the same time, event organisers are no longer faced with the cost of providing, renting and maintaining the audio devices.” But cost- efficient application is not the only feature that makes MobileConnect interesting for integrators, companies or event organisers: “Additional features such as assistive listening in theatres, the provision of an audio track for silent screens in airport waiting lounges or simultaneous interpreting for public performances.

John Fearon Technical director at Eclipse lighting & Sound Marine Limited says “This is a huge step forward in providing simplicity to people who would normally have to request cumbersome and uncomfortable headsets in order to enjoy live performances and announcements”.
